Discussion
:- It has already mentioned that the Khalitya Roga (Alopecia) is
the outcome of vitiation of Vata, Pitta, Kapha and Rakta and Pathological
closing of the romkupas (hair follicles). So, the aim of treatment
was directed to counteract vitiated doshas simultaneously use of
Panchkarmatechniques
viz. Snehana and Swedana to make romkupas (hair follicles) patent.
After the analysis of etiological factors common causes of baldness
seems to be deficiency of nutritionel suppliments, infection and
male pattern of baldness i.e. due to the influence of hormons. Drugs
which are used for the treatment were prepared in oil base for external
application to ensure better penetration of the drug in the skin.
Coconut oil was selected for the purpose because it is beneficial
in skin diseases.
